In his 1969 catalog Jimmy says this about his favorite fixed blade knife. "My personal knife, the Number 7. Four inch blade of 5/32" stock, extra length handle and brass guard are standard on my personal choice of knives. Of all the pieces I could carry into the field, I use this one for all game up to and including white tail deer, because I have found it to be incomparable for general use in the field as well as in the cooktent, which is where I generally wind up."
