David Yellowhorse Early Folding Hunter Mystery Solved.

While on a vacation in Scottsdale, AZ in 2008 I spotted this David Yellowhorse knife in a glass display case in a jewlery store. I knew immediately it was a Yellowhorse knife but, on inspection I discovered something different about this knife--something most Yellowhorse collectors would treasure. David stamps his name on most of his knives but instead of David Yellowhorse (in fancy script) this one is simply stamped " RC. "

On my return home I phoned David, who I had met at several shows, and asked the question, who is " RC ? " We talked for quite a while and he told me RC is his uncle Rick Chischilly who worked with David early on for about 15 years. It's what is called a "Lunch-Box Knife" and uncle Rick sold it to the jewerly store.

It's a great story and a special one of one knife. It's been in my safe for 15 years so it's time to pass it on.
